Amirabdollahian on Monday hosted foreign ministers from Russia, Turkiye, Georgia, Azerbaijan and Armenia at the second meeting of the 3+3 format that seeks to find a permanent solution to disputes between Azerbaijan and Armenia and strengthen stability in the Caucasus region.
According to the top Iranian diplomat, he shared with other participants at the meeting in Tehran ways to bring an end to the Zionist regime’s crimes against Palestinians in Gaza and their forced migration. The issue of sending humanitarian aid to the people of the Gaza Strip was also discussed, Amirabdollahian said on Monday night during a press conference in Tehran.
He told reporters that the Islamic Republic will strongly continue its political and media support of the Palestinian people.
The foreign minister also warned all sides involved in the ongoing conflict, including the US and the Zionist regime that the bloodshed of the Palestinians in Gaza should be stopped.
He expressed hope that efforts ongoing at the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) would lead to a halt to the regime’s crimes in Gaza, stressing that the whole region is like a powder keg and something out of control may happen at any moment.
Amirabdollahian also said that resistance leaders have told him in their Sunday phone talks that they are ready for a long battle with the Zionist regime, and that is why they are demanding a cessation of the regime’s attacks against civilians.
The top diplomat said that the Zionist regime is trying to eliminate the resistance front in Gaza, and is forcing people to migrate. Targeting hospitals and churches is taking place in this line, Amirabdollahian said, adding that the regime is trying to press ahead with the scenario under US support that Gazans are transferred to Jordan and Egypt’s Sinai.
